Educating to help changing the world
Objective:
BBL and the Carbon Trust work together to develop and deliver educational workshops to promote the benefits of reducing business carbon emissions, both in terms of economic cost savings and the benefits to the environment. These events need to be simple, low cost, informative and most of all cause action.
Plan:
A quarterly series of workshops were planned and executed to deliver the most delegates possible on the day and the optimum learning environment. Delegates were asked to complete a feedback form alongside an action plan of how they were going to implement what they had learnt.
Event:
Ensuring a smooth and easy registration process is a key fundamental to get the most delegates to the events on the day; once they are there they need to be ready to learn how they can make an impact on their organisations bottom line. Due to the nature of the Carbon Trust these events also need to reflect their values and take steps to reduce the carbon emissions associated with running an event.
Success:
Our diligent registration process ensured the delegate attendance at the events increased, as did delegate satisfaction ratings for both content and logistical details. A clear post event report ensures that delegate action plans are logged and combined with follow up information and marketing progress. With firm building blocks in place the workshop series continues with an ambitious target to reduce its own carbon emissions still further.
