Dreaming of a white Christmas
Objective:
Having chosen to host a grand fully themed event for staff each Christmas, our client wanted to ring the changes with a more classically theme Christmas party to motivate, inspire loyalty and give everyone a festive treat.
Plan:
With a complete blank canvas of a venue a snowy Christmas theme was applied to give a traditional feel to all areas. A range of food options were created, for every taste and Christmas cocktails were developed along traditional lines for the bars. Entertainment was carefully selected to provide a good mixture of traditional stage based experiences along with more personal areas such as the Christmas scene photo booth.
Event:
Guests entered the winter wonderland to the sound of traditional hand bells playing Christmas carols in the foyer. Once inside the venue there was an iced forest seating area, ice chandlers and a simple snow flake design ensured the stage and dance floor was as magical as the entertainment! The balcony areas had been transformed with hanging curtains of glittering lights to create an intimate dinning area for those who did want to listen to the main stage acts. The evenings entertainment ended with a full swing band singing the classic's such as I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.
Success:
With a traditional magical backdrop and smooth pre-event marketing the traditional feel created an amazing atmosphere that left everyone feeling warm and fuzzy for Christmas.
Statistics:
- A lavish winter world was created
- 1200 attendees
- Over 800 photos taken, printed and framed for
people to take home on the night
- 83% of delegates gave the event positive feedback
- A creative approach that was new for the venue and has been much copied since!
